C2C Split Heart Blanket

C2C
I have made this particular blanket in two different ways. The first time was as a double crochet blanket (2nd pic), and while I loved how it turned out, I love the C2C version even more. Sorry, I never did write out the pattern for the double crochet version, but the graph is available through the link below if you would like to try for yourself.

The pattern begins in the bottom right corner with colour A. (Colour B is the heart)

Approximately 1900 yards of yarn in worsted weight (4)-- I used Red Heart Comfort for both blankets -- using a 5.00mm hook and a chain 5 start. Chain 2 at the start of each block instead of chain 3 for a tighter weave blanket. Original knitting graph can be found HERE.

Finished blanket with border is approximately 52" x 42"

Critters in the Round - The Sheep Detective

Crochet Sheep Pattern
Crochet Sheep Detective
Next up for Critters in the Round is this adorable Sheep Detective. With his sharp looking bowler hat and puffy loop body, he is the perfect companion to help you count his fellow sheep as you nod off to sleep. And as a bonus, he is 100% Grandkid approved!

One boy and one girl, both about 3 and a half, kept arguing over who the first sheep was for, lol. Good thing I need to make more than one critter per pattern write up!

Critters In The Round - Hobo Bunny

Hobo magic rabbit
Hobo Bunnies
This adorable bunny pattern is available in my  Ravelry store! Hopefully this will be the first of many 'Critters In The Round ' patterns. I have plans, huge, ginormous plans to create a whole menagerie of animals in this wonderful, huggable, round shape.

The idea for ball shaped critters came about while I was making an amigarumi for my grandson. I finished the round head and my grandkids wouldn't stop hugging and kissing it! This ball with a face enraptured them! I thought it was going to be a hit when it was completed.
Wrong.
Original sketch for Hobo Bunny

They had absolutely zero interest once the head had a body.

So I set out to give them what they wanted most. A ball with a face. But not just any old face. It had to be a cute, kissable face! And it worked. They absolutely love their bunnies. ❤️

Stay tuned for more Critters In The Round!
